The MD Forté® skin care system uses glycolic acid, a natural type of alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) found in sugar that delivers the benefits of AHAs without the normally associated irritation.  AHAs exfoliate the skin, revealing younger, healthier skin.  Facial Cleanser I contains 12% Glycolic Compound to gently remove residue, makeup and oil.  Facial Cleanser II, with 15% Glycolic Compound provides even greater exfoliation and is great for patients who have used the Glycolic Compound for 4 to 6 months and are ready to move on to more intense exfoliation.  Facial Cleanser III contains 20% compound for the maximum effect and should be used after the skin has adjusted to formulas I and II.  The facial cleansers should be used once daily and are suitable for all skin types.
