Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a non-contagious, genetic, lifelong skin disease. According to the National Institutes of Health, as many as 7.5 million Americans have psoriasis.
The most common form, plaque psoriasis, appears as raised, red patches or lesions covered with a silvery white buildup of dead skin cells, called scale.

Dermatologists are experts at caring for psoriasis patients.

At Klein Dermatology and Associates, we offer many levels of medication and phototherapy.  Our office is quipped with a narrow-band UVB and PUVA unit for people who respond quickly to light therapy.

We are also knowledgeable in all levels of prescription medication and can help guide you to the best option for you.  Besides topical treatments, and methotrexate and Soriatane, there are several different biologic systemic treatments that are now available.
